Our Story
After a successful 10 years teaching in a the Bridgend county, Sarah Mawer decided to leave teaching for a while to develop an idea she had been nurturing for sometime. From her own experiences of child development and early childhood experiences, Sarah decided to put her knowledge and ideas to work for the good of both parents and children.
"In 1997 I was running a small
classroom for children with Communication difficulties. I was
nominated for a Teaching Award and went on to win Special Needs Teacher
of the Year for Wales. Some people could never understand why parents
and professionals praised my classroom, and why we gained the results
with the children. To me it’s always been a simple equation, if
children enjoy where they are, love what they are doing and have fun
with what they experience – then learning will occur! This is what we
hope to create in our play centre."

Playtime For Schools
We will have a storybook theme, incorporating many fairy tales and characters within the play areas and play frames.
